Fridges
- Once a year clean the condenser coils on the back of the fridge with a vacuum. If you have a side by side fridge, the coils are located under the fridge.
- Fridges need room to breath. Try to allow some air movement on the top and sides of the fridge.
- Never lay a fridge on its side when transporting as you could seriously damage the suspension springs in the compressor. If you must lay it on its side, only do so for a short time. Once upright, allow the fridge to sit for 30 minutes before turning it on to allow the oil in the lines to return to the compressor.
- When your fridge or freezer starts up it will draw higher amperage. Because of this you should always have your fridge or freezer on it's own circuit breaker to avoid the possibility of tripping the circuit.
- If your fridge leaks water under the crisper do the following. In the fresh food section remove the drain cup and clean it. Clean the drain hose located at the rear of the fridge.
